A comparative study of neck ultrasonography, sestamibi scan and parathyroid surgery findings

Background: Many Endocrinologists believe that preoperative localisation/lateralization in patients undergoing initial neck exploration for primary hyperparathyroidism is unimportant because of high cure rate in the hands of experienced surgeons.
